Kumon grew rapidly in Japan and soon expanded beyond its borders. By 1974, Kumon opened its first overseas Centre in New York, USA. Soon after, Kumon Education Centres opened in Taiwan, Brazil, Germany and the UK.
By 1984, the first Kumon Education Centre opened in Australia. In 1995 Kumon reached New Zealand.
Today, there are over 330 Kumon Education Centres across Australia and New Zealand, with more than 50,000 students enrolled throughout. The demand for Kumon in both these countries continues to grow year after year.
We aim to meet this growing demand by recruiting new Kumon Franchisees to own and operate new Centres.
